چکیده

In this article, we consider the minimization of the total tardiness in a flexible job-shop. In our knowledge, this criterion is not previously studied for this type of shop configuration. The total tardiness criterion was mainly considered in the single machine problem (Chu [Chu92] and Souissi et al. [SKC04]). Few references studied this criterion in a job-shop configuration. The priority rules were intensively used to solve this problem (Kanet et Hayya [KH82]). Other heuristic approaches based on Tabu Search were also developed (Vinicius et Cintia [VC00]). The flexible job-shop problem is NP −Hard. The minimization of the total tardiness on a single machine is also an NP −Hard problem (Du et Leung [DL90]). As a consequence, the minimization of the total tardiness in a flexible job-shop is also NP −Hard.

Minimizing the energy consumption and the total weighted tardiness for the flexible flowshop using NSGA-II and NRGA

This paper presents a bi-objective MIP model for the flexible flow shop scheduling  problem (FFSP) in which the total weighted tardiness and the energy consumption are minimized simultaneously. In addition to considering unrelated machines at each stage, the set-up times are supposed to be sequence- and machine-dependent, and it is assumed that jobs have different release tim...

Minimizing the maximum tardiness and makespan criteria in a job shop scheduling problem with sequence dependent setup times

The job shop scheduling problem (JSP) is one of the most difficult problems in traditional scheduling because any job consists of a set operations and also any operation processes by a machine. Whereas the operation is placed in the machine, it is essential to be considering setup times that the times strongly depend on the various sequencing of jobs on the machines. This research is developed ...

Solving Flexible Job Shop Scheduling with Multi Objective Approach

In this paper flexible job-shop scheduling problem (FJSP) is studied in the case of optimizing different contradictory objectives consisting of: (1) minimizing makespan, (2) minimizing total workload, and (3) minimizing workload of the most loaded machine. As the problem belongs to the class of NP-Hard problems, a new hybrid genetic algorithm is proposed to obtain a large set of Pareto-optima...

Minimizing the total tardiness and makespan in an open shop scheduling problem with sequence-dependent setup times

We consider an open shop scheduling problem with setup and processing times separately such that not only the setup times are dependent on the machines, but also they are dependent on the sequence of jobs that should be processed on a machine. A novel bi-objective mathematical programming is designed in order to minimize the total tardiness and the makespan. Among several mult...

Minimizing Total Tardiness in a Hybrid Flexible Flowshop with Sequence Dependent Setup Times

In this paper, we propose different local search algorithms to solve a realistic variant of the flowshop problem. The variant considered here is a hybrid flexible flowshop problem with sequence-dependent setup times, and with the objective of minimizing the total tardiness. In this variant of flowshop, stage skipping might occur, i.e., not all stages must be visited by all jobs. This scheduling...
